If the speech calls for illegal activity or is violent speech it should be curtailed for obvious reasons and private platforms can make their own rules. But the real issue is the double standard on what is considered hate speech by big tech. Shaun King certainly doesn’t think speech against white people should be policed, for example, it would destroy his career. And many others are policed for speech that isn’t hateful, or is only considered hateful because of who they are.

He didn’t change anything at all today. NOTHING.

Okay, he didn’t mention bananas. He was just talking about how all Jews are criminals 🙄

He also told Sam Tripoli he had changed, leading Sam to respond positively when asked by Rokfin exec’s if Owen should be invited on.

Currently Sam seems frustrated and confused as to why Owen appears to WANT to be banned everywhere.

Rokfin shouldn’t cheapen it’s platform with his trash.

Being banned is all Owen has. He has no actual content and has made himself irrelevant.

His stream has no value in the real world.

Being a "free speech absolutists" is the only path possible. If you try to accommodate and stay within the rules, the tyrants will simply change the rules.

If you want to make it so people are not allowed to makes jokes about black people eating bananas then make it against the law. It's against the law to use the N word as a racial slur where I live and that's maybe OK because we have a defined process which everyone can see and understand which was followed to decide what is legal or not. When did we start thinking it was OK for something other than the law to define what is allowed?

If you can't get a law past outlawing something then you have to wonder why that is...
